RHAM Players: RHAM Players will be performing Matilda this year. Start date is November 21st, days TBA, from 2:20 to 5:00 in the High School Auditorium. More information to follow. Any questions please contact Mr. Jancis.
Card and Game Club: is an after school club for card games and board games. Participants are welcome to bring their own board and card games to play, or games are available for those who would like to learn how to play. Tabletop role-playing games and campaigns are also welcome. Start date is October 3rd. Card and Game Club meets in the High School art wing in room 616 on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month from 2:20-3:20. Any questions please contact Mr. Conroy in room 103.
Footnotes: Footnotes is a group voice lesson club available to anyone who would like to learn how to sing solo! From pop music, to classical - we cover anything you'd like to sing! Footnotes meets twice a month from 2:15 to 3pm in the Chorus room 229. Any questions please contact Ms. McKiernan.
Jazz Band: Jazz Band is an auditioned group which meets after school for the year. Jazz Band will perform at multiple concerts from Winter through Spring. Jazz Band will be held every Wednesday from 2:15 to 3:30. Any questions please contact Ms. Wilson.
Literary Magazine: Interested in creative writing, graphic design, artwork, poetry, music, formatting, editing, web design, or just creating content for an online magazine? If so, Rhamblings is for you! Rhamblings is RHAM MS’s online literary and art magazine. We produce 1 to 2 issues a year and are always looking for contributors as well as those who just want to help with publishing and web design. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you at our next meeting!
This club starts on October 8th and meets once a month on Tuesdays from 2:15 to 3:15. Any questions please contact Ms. Connors.
Ski and Snowboard Club: The club takes 5 trips each year to Ski Sundown in New Hartford. Online Registration starts mid October and it will be first come first served until the bus is filled. The trips will start after the new year. Buses leave the school at 2:15 pm and return at 8:15 pm. All students are welcome to register. Lessons and rentals are available. Registration will be online this year and the sign up date is Thursday October 3rd. For more information check the Raptor Report or you can see Mr. Stein or Mrs. Belanger.
F.P.S (Future Problem Solvers): FPS develops problem solving skills through creative and critical thinking while learning about world issues, preparing students to compete against other schools in Connecticut and around the world. This club meets weekly, Monday evenings at RHAM High School Lecture Hall (Rm 115) from 6:30 - 8:00p.m. Any questions or for more information, contact Sherri Pelletier at [email protected].
Home Economics Club: Do you like cooking? Maybe cooking from around the world? Do you like crafting and doing different hands-on projects? How about learning some cool life skills?! Then the home economics club is for you! What we offer: DIY projects, handmade craft and decor, cooking and baking and basic sewing skills.The start date for the club after the initial meeting is October 24, 2024 and we meet every other Thursday until approximately 3:15. World Language Club: The World Language Club provides students with an opportunity to expand their knowledge about the Spanish and French language and culture. We explore and experience various aspects of different cultures by exploring various countries, participating in food tastings, holiday celebrations, foreign film viewings, music, dance, and much more. All students are welcome to join! Our club starts on September 26th and meets every other Thursday after school until 3:00 in room 200 or 203 (location will be announced prior to meeting). Environmental Club: Interested in helping out the environment and supporting wildlife and green spaces? Then the Environmental Club is the place for you! All students are welcome! Starting on September 24th come join us in room 110 once a month on Tuesdays from 2:15 pm to 3:15 pm. Any questions please contact Ms. Connors.
Math Club: Do you like solving puzzles, riddles and brainteasers? Are you a problem solver? Then Math Club is for you! Students are welcome to join at any time during the year. 7th and 8th graders of all math abilities are welcome. Our first meeting is Thursday, September 19th in Mrs. Byrne’s room, Room 100 on Inquiry Team. We will meet every other Thursday. If you have questions about the club, please contact Mrs. Byrne.
Lego League/Club: Are you a Lego Master? Do you enjoy building Lego structures? Want to hang out with other Lego builders? Come to Lego Club. Lego Club starts on October 16th, and is the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from 2:20 to 3:30 PM in Room 123. Any questions please contact Ms. Sinosky.
TSA/VEX Club: Are you interested in Robotics, Computer programming, Aerodynamics? Come to the TSA/VEX Club. TSA/VEX begins in October and meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 2:30 to 3:30 PM in rooms 122 and 123. Any questions please contact Ms. Sinosky.
RHAM Alt. Energy Race Team MS: The RHAM alternative Energy Race Team designs, builds and competes with electric go karts. Students will race in the Alternative Energy Race in May. This Club begins in October and will run on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 122. Any questions please contact Ms. Sinosky.
Yearbook Club and Yearbook Photographer: RHAM MS yearbook Club works together to produce the yearbook. Students take pictures, and design and publish pages. The Yearbook Club will be meeting every other Tuesday from September to March, compiling all of our memories from this school year into a beautiful final product. Art Club: Interested in art? Want a space to be creative? Come join us in the art club for a space to create art, explore different media, and connect with other creatives. Start date is October 15th. The club meets every other Tuesday from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in room 237, Mrs. Gradie’s art room. Space is limited so please contact Mrs. Gradie to sign up for or for more information.
GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) Club: The Gender Sexuality Alliance, or GSA, is a club for LGBTQIA+ students and allies. We participate in a combination of advocacy and social and fun activities throughout the school year. GSA meets on Wednesdays. Have any questions? Contact Miss Ashley or Miss PJ.
UNIFIED SPORTS – Unified Basketball is an inclusive sports program that unites athletes with disabilities and partners , students without disabilities as teammates. All involved have a great time training and competing together, while at the same time forming new and lasting friendships. Unified Sports starts in February and runs into April. Advisor and start date TBD.
Math Lab: Math lab is a quiet working time for students who are looking for extra help or enrichment in their math classes. It is a drop-in program after school on Tuesdays. You may drop in any Tuesday or Thursday from 2:20 - 3:30 Tuesdays are in Ms. Wang's room 217. Thursdays are in Mrs. Kane’s room 101.
Writing Lab – Writing lab is a quiet working time for students who are looking for extra help or enrichment with their writing. It is a drop-in program after school on Wednesdays. Students may drop in to the Medi Center any Wednesday from 2:20 - 3:30 pm.
PM STUDY – PM Study is an afternoon homework club that meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:15 - 3:45 pm. It is supervised by a certified teacher. See your school counselor for more information, students must sign a contract to participate in the program. This is an invite only.
Student Council: Student Advisory Council is a select group of 7th and 8th grade students, with members represented from each team, who come together to discuss school topics related to school climate, school culture, transition, student activities, etc. whose goal is to open the lines of communication between administration, staff and students. Each member of the student council must uphold the expectations that are put into place at the beginning of the year. These expectations include but are not limited to; grades, behavior, participation, and leadership. This club meets every day from 7:10-7:32. Any questions please contact Ms. Burns or Ms. Belanger.
PASS - Pass is designed to support students' success through student council discussions and activities that are structured to engage students in leadership skills that boost confidence.

Drama United: Drama United is a program designed to dissolve typical barriers between youth through transformative, school-based performing arts. Students with and without disabilities, of all backgrounds, come together as equals to put on a production entirely organized, written and directed by students, to put the spotlight on ability. Drama United will be running during first quarter, Tuesdays and Thursdays (Full Cast) Wednesdays (Peers Only) from 2:15 to 3:30 in the High School Auditorium.
